A poster for up and coming lecture at Bath Spa University. The work of Chris is very raw and handmade so I produced the poster by getting a sheet of steel and rusting the area with the text.

Behind The Veil

 A project on producing a document on a non-viable group that aren't considered interesting in our society.
\
My chosen group of people were beekeepers. With the content I researched from being with the beekeepers I wanted to use it to influence the format of the publication.
\
The format of the publication is based on an average size hive. Inserts inside are to resemble the way it works inside. Gate folds are used throughout to show surprise and observation.

I recorded sound for 60 minutes noting down everything I heard throughtout the time period. I presented the information in 6 columns to show the different sounds and what kind of sound it was.

Master class with Irma Boom. A collection of students at Bath Spa University were asked to produce a typographic story with the first page of their chosen book.

My chosen book was called 'first advertisement for myself'. On the first page it begain it began ver negative then at the end became positive so I concentrated on this aspect of the story to produce my small story.

The real Tuk Tuk

Recently I've been travelling in Thailand and Cambodia. I became intrigued by these motorbikes with trailers on the back to carry tourists. I wondered where this concept came from so asked some of the locals and they told me it never use to be about tourism it was used about carrying equipment. So I wanted to capture this culture that appears to be disappearing.

The money typeface was created from a recent project using only the 10 pound note with as many folds as it took to find the correct form of the letter.

Hyperkit Interview

I went and visited the hyperkit studio in London and asked them about their work what advise they could give me as a young designer.
\
The poster about hyperkit shows pieces of their work that I particularly enjoy. The advise that they gave me is foil blocked because I felt for me this was important for me and other young designers.
